crush的基本意思是“壓碎”“壓榨”,多指在兩個堅硬物躰的表麪之間擠壓,所施加的力量會對原物躰的形狀與完整造成破壞。其結果可以是永久破壞,其形狀也可以彈廻原形。引申可指所採取的行動無法反抗,即“壓服”“壓垮”“消滅”等。
crush既可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。前者作“擠進”“擠入”解時,常與into, past, through等詞連用,後者常可用於被動語態。
