常用用法

這兩個短語都是“用鉛筆”的意思。其區別是：
1.with pencil強調“工具”; in pencil強調“材料”或“狀態”。例如:
He is drawing a cat with a pencil.他在用鉛筆畫貓。
Shall I sign the paper in pencil?我應該用鉛筆簽署這個文件嗎?
2.with a pencil在句中通常衹用作狀語,而in pencil除作狀語外,還可作後置定語。例如:
She gave me her photo, with a few words in pencil on its back.她把她的照片給了我,背後有幾個鉛筆字。
3.在介詞with後pencil可用單數形式,前麪加不定冠詞a,也可用複數形式; 但在介詞in後pencil則不可有複數形式,且無不定冠詞。例如:
All the corrections are made in red pencil.所有的脩改都是用紅筆寫的。
Mary colored her picture with pencils.瑪麗用彩色鉛筆給她的圖畫上色。
